Thieves Target NW Lauderhill Cars
Automobile burglary is on the rise in Northwest Lauderhill according to the city police department. Officer Robert Marto addressed the Northwest Lauderhill Neighbors Association last night to update residents on crime in the area. He offered advice advice on how to avoid becoming a victim, such as not leaving valuables in your car or at least keeping them out of view. Additionally, keeping exterior home lights on may decrease the chances of a car break-in.
After Officer Marto’s presentation Century 21 Realtor Bruce Goldfarb spoke about real estate trends in the neighborhood. Mr. Goldfarb reported that home prices have stabilized and are increasing in value around 3% per year. The number of home for sale in the area is little less than average, and there is a decrease in foreclosures and short sales.
